Are you allowed to work in Hong Kong? Work Permits explained.

Work visas are a requirement for anyone who wants to go to Hong Kong for a job.

An application for a work/entry visa are more likely to be granted if the applicant:

Has no criminal record and has never been considered a security risk
Has a good education level in the field in which they are applying for work or similar work experience
Has a written genuine confirmed offer of work that cannot be easily carried out by a Chinese/Hong Kong National
The remuneration package is similar to that which would be expected for a local worker doing a similar job
Or they are in a position to substantially help the economy of Hong Kong

It also helps if you are financially buoyant enough to support yourself for your entire stay.
